About Me

I am so thankful and have always felt so blessed by my family.  The family I grew up in taught me to love Jesus, act with humility, be loyal and always to work hard.  My mom and dad are a beautiful example of a Christian marriage.  They have been married almost 27 years and five kids later they still enjoy each other.  I still get a chuckle out of memories of my dad grabbing my mom's butt while we were grocery shopping when we were little.  They are in love and put up with each others' short-comings.  I'm thankful for each and every one of my siblings.  I am the oldest, next comes Erin, then Hannah, Caleb (the only boy) and Caitlin.  There are ten years between my youngest sister and me.   Erin just got married last June.  She and her husband live in the Twin Cities and finished their degrees right before they tied the knot.  Hannah and Caleb are in college and Cate is still in high school.  Love them so much!

Now I honestly didn't know I could feel so blessed by my husband.  We've been married a little over five years and as cliche as it sounds I fall more and more in love with him all the time.  I've heard that watching him hold our child for the first time will make my heart melt too.  John is kind, funny, keeps me on my toes and doesn't let me get away with most of my shenanigans.  He is a great man (and oh so handsome!) and I'm so lucky.  I'm thankful for the family I married into as well.  They are great.  Thanks for raising such a fabulous son, Mark and Sue! John and I are so thankful for our pup Comet and can't wait to welcome Baby Hammar into our family August 2013.  We're pumped!  Life is great and God is so good.
